Cate writes and edits grant proposals, policy briefs, and evaluation reports for Edu. She has written or edited over 100 books in education and social science.

 

Cate joined Edu in 2014 and has written reports for large programs sponsored by NSF, NASA and prominent universities.

 

She attended Princeton University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

 

Early in her career Cate developed several education programs for professional educators, a program for at-risk youth, and a mentoring program to pair college students with middle-school students who might not otherwise consider college.

 

A former Outward Bound Course Director Cate enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, and trying to keep moose out of her vegetable garden.
