RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer human resources programs and policies

  • Advise on staffing, compensation, and management of subcontract professionals

  • Ensure compliance with government requirements

SKILLS

  • Work strategically with leadership

  • Position our staffing to achieve mission-critical priorities

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based services

ABILITIES

  • Support and coach leaders on topics relating to HR and business

  • Anticipate and solve problems before they occur

  • Understand the connection between great talent and company success

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Develop a human resources department to support small, agile teams of subcontractors.

Administer human resources programs and policies including planning, staffing, compensation, and management of subcontract professionals.

Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of human resources data.

Ensure compliance with appropriate governmental requirements and employment law in the United States and Canada.

Lead efforts to identify and recruit promising candidates. Help us to ensure a conscious, intentional approach to attracting top talent.

Review and refine procedures for onboarding new subcontractors.

Encourage a positive and supportive culture to promote the retention of current subcontractors.

Oversee performance management and reviews.

Provide best practices for training and talent development.

Guide career planning, individual development plans, and goal setting.

Creativity and latitude are expected and encouraged.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience are preferred

  • SHRM or CPHR memberships and certifications are a plus

  • Problem-solving, decision-making skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations are critical
