CONTRACT AND GRANT SPECIALIST

We are seeking an experienced grant specialist to help our team
develop effective and successful proposals.

We need a research development professional to review funding opportunities. You will guide writers and ensure on-time submission of high-quality proposals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support proposal development and submission for major research projects

  • Interpret, clarify, and satisfy sponsor guidelines

  • Prepare and review evaluation budgets

  • Draft and submit supplemental materials and letters

  • Review and approve evaluation plans to include in large research proposals

SKILLS

  • Able to gather clear, concise, and accurate requirements

  • Deep understanding of the research development profession

  • Comfortable interacting with eminent faculty and research scientists

ABILITIES

  • Ability to work collaboratively with our team to provide amazing client service

  • Understanding of external evaluation for large federal and foundation-funded proposals

  • Passion for service and building relationships with research development professionals

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will assume responsibility for planning, developing, and coordinating activities related to grant proposals, administration of contracts and sub-awards with clients, and reports to funding agencies.

As a specialist you are responsible for ensuring that proposals adhere to standards and requirements of the funding agency. You will guide funded projects from proposal to contract.

You can manage multiple projects, have the tact to work with grant teams at academic institutions, and the poise to work with program officers at funding agencies and foundations.

You should have experience with or the ability to quickly learn US federal grant platforms including NSF Fastlane, grants.gov, Central Contractor Registration (CCR.gov) and System for Award Management (SAM).

As a competitive candidate you should have significant prior experience in an academic grants or sponsored programs office, and facility with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the grant field.

You will be an active facilitator, collaborator, and teammate dedicated to best serving our client.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience in grant proposal development, pre-award, and post-award management

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area

  • Graduate studies or professional experience in Public Administration or Legal Studies is helpful
